THE NAME I LOVE - IS THIS THE NAME YOU LOVE ABOVE ALL OTHER NAMES?
THERE IS A NAME I LOVE TO HEAR, I LOVE TO SPEAK ITS WORTH, IT SOUNDS LIKE MUSIC IN MY EAR, THE SWEETEST NAME ON EARTH.
“Therefore (because He stooped so low), God exalted Him to the highest place, and gave Him THE NAME THAT IS ABOVE EVERY NAME that at the Name of Yeshua every knee should bow - in heaven and on earth and under the earth - and every tongue confess that Yeshua the Messiah is Lord (the Heavenly Master), to the glory of YHWH, God the Father.” Philippians 2:5-11
THE NAME I dearly love – the Name I love more than any other name, is not my own name, it is not my husb and's name, nor my son’s name. It’s not the name of a friend, or someone whom I greatly admire. It is the Name of my FATHER - my HEAVENLY FATHER. And my Father’s Name is also included in the Name of His beloved Son - my SAVIOUR - a fact that gives the Son’s Name such a significant meaning, and such sweet fragrance.
Many believers have discovered the real, authentic Name of the Heavenly Father. Of course, it has always been there - but it has been long neglected or covered up.
Personally, in discovering the original, revealed Name, I have come to understand in a new and deeper way, the unity of the Father’s Name and the Son’s Name. With that discovery, there has come also a deep love - a love that makes me want to tell everyone about that wonderful Name. In the words of my Saviour . . .
“I WILL DECLARE YOUR NAME TO MY BRETHREN,
IN THE MIDST OF THE CONGREGATION
I WILL SING YOUR PRAISE.” Hebrews 2:12
For years I was content to call my Father and my Saviour by the various accepted English titles and substitutes - God, Jehovah, Jesus, Lord, Christ. Then I discovered that these are not the ORIGINAL NAMES of the Father and the Son. God, Lord and Christ, are, in fact, descriptive TITLES, and they are titles that need to be defined, for in the world there are “gods many,” and “lords many” - and especially these days, there are many “Christs.” 1 Corinthians 8:5. Matthew 24:5
Christians insist rightly, of course, that there is only one true Lord; there’s only one true God - the Almighty. But other religions also use the terms “Lord”, “God”, and “Almighty” in referring to their gods. Therefore we must define what we mean when using these terms - not for our own sake, merely, but for the Truth’s sake. Indeed, the eternal destiny of many, depends upon it - the Truth!
Normally we describe the attributes of the One we believe to be “The Lord”; and in so doing, we usually fail to mention His Name. Some even feel that the Almighty God is too big to have a Name, and that it is quite sufficient to refer to Him simply as “God,” “Lord,” or “Lord God.”
In the Preface to its 1973 edition, the Revised Standard Version (1946), expresses this idea when it comments on the Name of God: “(1) the word ‘Jehovah’ does not accurately represent any form of the Name ever used in Hebrew; and, (2) the use of any proper name for the one and only God, as though there were other gods from whom He had to be distinguished, was discontinued in Judaism before the Christian era, and it is entirely inappropriate for the universal faith of the Christian Church.”
Point one is true. “Jehovah” is not a correct form of God’s Name. Point two however, is not true!
The ancient Hebrews, several hundred years before Messiah came, began to refrain from speaking the Name out of extreme reverence for the Name. They used the words Adonai (Lord), or Ha Shem (the Name), in its place.
But the Name was WRITTEN, and still is, in the Hebrew Bible. And to maintain that it is inappropriate for God to have a Name in the Christian Church, is absurd! There is not one man on earth who does not have a name. And if there is not a single known species of insect that does not have a name, why should God not have a Name? And certainly the true God MUST be distinguished from the multiplicity of so-called gods. They are false, of course, but to the peoples of the nations they are real. Hindi gods are also referred to as God with a capital G.
It is because of the “God-is-too-big-for-a-Name” attitude that many Christians have defaulted, and settled for using the titles “Lord” and “God” as substitutes for His real Name. It’s like saying, about a human father, “Oh, I’m not sure what my father’s name is. I just call him ‘Daddy’.”
Our Heavenly Father DOES have a Name - a Name of which He Himself has declared, “This is My Name forever.” That Name is written in the Hebrew Bible 6,855 times. But the Christian Church has largely been robbed of the Name.
to be continued... WHAT IS OUR FATHER’S NAME?

HERE IS A PROMISE THAT IS VERY PRECIOUS TO ME, FOR IT CAME HOME TO MY SOUL IN A TIME OF GREAT DEPRESSION!
One morning many years ago, when the battle was so extreme that the pain i felt in my soul i could no longer bear; I said to my Heavenly Father; 'Why have You not allowed suicide to be acceptable for I don't want to live this miserable life anylonger'. I used to pray when I laid on my bed before I went to sleep; "let me not awake in the monrning, just take me home in my sleep!"
Here is a promise that is very precious to me, for it came home to my soul in a time of great depression, when I felt like “ending it all?”
And the promise is for YOU too, if you will call on and trust in the Lord Jesus.
“O afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted,
Behold, I will set your stones in antimony,
And your foundations I will lay in sapphires.
Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies,
And your gates of crystal,
And your entire wall of precious stones.
And all your sons will be taught of Yahweh the Lord;
And the well-being of your sons will be great.
In righteousness you will be established;
You will be far from oppression, for you will not fear;
And from terror, for it will not come near you.
If any one fiercely assails you it will not be from Me.
Whoever assails you will fall because of you.
Behold, I Myself have created the smith who blows the fire of coals.
And brings out a weapon for its work;
And I have created the destroyer to ruin.
No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper;
And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn.
this is the heritage of the servants of YHWH.
And their vindication is from Me, declares YHWH.”
Maybe some reader is saying “But I once called on God, and He didn’t answer my prayer.”
Let me ask you; Did you call on God in the Name of the Lord Yeshua Messiah/Christ? Did you ask believing, or did you ask in such a way that showed you did not really expect an answer?
Yeshua said, “If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.” John 14:14
The Name of Yeshua/Jesus is not a magic formula, but it represents His great authority. To ask in His Name means that you believe in that Name.
Another Scripture verse says :
“And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to Yahweh God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6
Many people doubt Yahweh God -- they doubt His love, they doubt His power, or they doubt His existence. No wonder they don’t receive an answer to their vague, unbelieving prayers.
Another point to remember, my friend, is that the ways and the times of Yahweh the LORD are perfect. He answers in His own way, and in His own time -- not that He loves to keep people waiting for an answer, but because He knows the best time, and the best way. So don’t expect Him to fulfil your prayer in the way you dictate. Leave it to HIM. It may well be that Yahweh God has been keeping you waiting, allowing you to come to the end of yourself -- to come to a point of desperation where you will call upon Him from the depths of your heart; so that you will then trust in HIM, and in nothing else.
Maybe the following word is for you, at this very moment:
“For a brief moment I forsook you,
But with great compassion I will gather you.
In an outburst of anger I hid My face from you for a moment,
But with everlasting loving-kindness I will have compassion on you.
Says YHWH your Redeemer.
For this is like the days of Noah to Me
When I swore that the waters of Noah
Should not flood the earth again,
So I have sworn that I will not be angry with you,
Nor will I rebuke you.
For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake,
But My loving-kindness will not be removed from you,
And My covenant of peace will not be shaken.
Says YHWH who has compassion on you.”
Isaiah 54 :7-10

ATTEND TO CASUALTIES - What a type of kingdom is it that leaves its wounded soldiers to die on the battlefield? No righteous nation will do that. To see its soldiers dying and unattended will lead to a a completn breakdown of the morale of the army.
And we, as people of the Almighty Living God, as soldiers, have to attend to our casualties in this battle. If any fellow-believer has had a fall, let us go and lift him/her up. If he/she has been wounded, let's help him/her to the "fountain filled blood."
"Bretheren, if a man is caught in any trespass - in any sin - you who are spiritual, restore him in a spirit of gentleness. But watch yourself, lest you too be tempted." Galatians 6:1
Let us encourage one another. Here is a brother or sister who has fallen into sin - a casualty. Let us go out of the way, with compassion, to restore that brother or sister.
My heart is heavey, when I look around and see believers who have fallen and have been LEFT BY THE WAYSIDE. (Just the other day I had met a man who was so drunk that he could not make much sense. He told me that he was once a pastor. He has heard gospel music coming from my apartment, and when I went out he approached me, we had spent some time talking and as he had shared my heart broked. He has come around a few times and I prayed for him. Told him that Yeshua is standing at the door of his heart knocking etc., he said that he will attend church once again. I pray and believe that he will) Conditions today emphasize that there's a big number of casualties within the body of Yeshua. If we have people in the body, who seem to be very religious and spiritual, but are self-righteously indifferent to brother and sister lying on the wayside, I would say, THEY are casualties. They are like the man Yeshua told about - the one who was in the temple and prayed, "God, I thank you that I am not like these other people." Let us attend to our casualties! Let's encourage and build them up, that they might become strong and victorious in our Yeshua the Messiah.

DON'T DESTROY YOUR GOOD WORK AND DON'T SHOOT YOUR OWN MEN - What do you think of a man who spent ten years building a beautiful house, and then dynamited the whole thing in a few minutes? And that we can do through our Pride, Falsehood or Unwholesome talk. Wonderful works we may accomplish, and then by boasting about them, bring them all down. The spiritual blessing vanishes.
DISHONESTY or any devious method in the work of the Almighty Living God can destroy the results. The prohet Malachi said, "Cursed is the one who does the work of God deceitfully." So whatever we do, let us not be so foolish as to attempt anything for God in a deceiful way.
"So then, putting away falsehood, speak truth, each one of you, with his neighbour, for we are members of one another
. . . Let no corrupt word come out of your mouth , but only what is good and needful for building up - words that may give grace to those who hear." Ephesians 4:25,29.
DON'T SHOOT YOUR OWN MEN
We will agree, I believe, that this is very important. Soldiers are sent out to paralyse the enemy. Of course, in some wars, soldiers take personal revenge by shooting a fellow soldier, or an officer. And unfortunately, Believers are very notorious at shooting thier own people. They do not shoot them with a gun, but they draw a sword. They take the sword of slander, and slash and cut fellow-believers down. It's often Pride or Self-righteousness, or a Hurt feeling that causes believers to attack each other. Slander is a false weapon.
Yes, we are to take up a sword - which sword? Not the sword of slander, but the Sword of the Spirit of the Almighty Living God!
We are never to try and cut our brothers and sisters down. That's not our job, and we will be held accountable for taking it upon ourself to do so.
